Planning the trip

So far for our trip out west I have made a plan to dive about 9 hours a day with 2 or 3 stops along the route. Ontario is huge it is going to take us 2 days to hit our next province. I plan on stopping at Sault Ste Marie and Thunder Bay. I have not picked out a camp-ground yet but am looking for something close to the hwy. If you have any suggestions please let me know!

Camping across Canada

Since we decided to take this journey I have been researching everything from tents to camp-sites to camping equipment to recipes. There is so much planning. I admit I love planning trips I love looking at different options to dreaming then coming back to reality and sticking to a budget. I have not purchased anything yet and have a pretty tight budget we need to stick to. I will update as we purchase items and review them before and during our trip. Any suggestions would be awesome we do plan on taking the Trans Canada most of way. Our trip will consistent of 2 adults 1 9 year old and a dog.

Canada Journey the Beginning Plans

I have taken a long leave from blogging my family and I have suffered some loss since June and are planning to travel from Ontario to British Columbia for my father in laws memorial. I also lost my mother unexpectedly in June and its been a roller coaster of emotions. I think this trip across Canada is what we need and something we are looking forward to . We have flown out west but never driven our land. We plan on taking 5 days to get from Southern Ontario to the Okanagan in Birtish Columbia spending 5 days and taking 6 days on our return. We have never camped and plan on do so every night. This is a journey of a lifetime I’m sure with ups and downs. We are really looking forward to exploring Canada its something I’ve never done and figure now is a perfect time as life is short and Canada is beautiful.

I am a @buzzagent and tried @pantene ultimate 10

I have been a buzzagent for seimageveral years now and really enjoy being part of the program. I was sent Pantene Ultimate 10 Shampoo, Conditioner and Creme to try. The Pantene Ultimate 10 left my hair feeling soft and clean. I do dye my hair and felt it wasn’t harsh on my hair and left me feeling and smelling clean after my shower. I would most likely purchase this product again for my hair.

I recently was looking for some ideas for dinners to make my family, I came across the Pillsbury website and it is filled with delicious recipe ideas. I tried the Crescent Dogs first as It was the middle of the week and seemed easy and simple. The recipe was easy to follow and my family liked them. I will be trying different recipes from their site, I find it just my style for ideas and ease of cooking.

Stuffing Burgers recipe from @Tealeth922 blog @kraftcanada

4seasonmom

I came home one night and was perplexed on what to make for dinner, I came across an old blog posting from @tealeth922  I had a box of Stove Top Stuffing in my fridge a package of ground beef some garlic and thought why not… The burgers turned out great!! My family loved them. I didn’t follow the recipe exact as I was limited on ingredients but this is what I did.

I poured a box of stuffing into a bowl and added the water I let it sit for the suggested 10 minutes, I then added a clove of garlic and the ground beef. I shaped them into patties turned on the griddle and cooked them for about 5 min per side and added a slice of Kraft Cheese at the end to melt over them. Both my husband and daughter thought they were great.

So thank you @Tealeth922…

Dog Shampoo for flaky skin @gardenweb @dial

I have a chocolate lab that get flaky skin, I came across this blog http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/pets/msg1010234822171.html and tried it, I used 1/2 cup dial body wash and 1/2 cup of vinegar. Our lab came out soft and smelling great, I was impressed with the results and will be washing her again with this solution. I used all sorts of shampoos to get her to smell fresh and I will be going back to this solution which is much cheaper and has way better results.

Root Rescue @LOrealParisCAN review

I had highlights done on my hair at a salon and unfortunately my grey roots come through pretty fast the highlights are still there, so I decided to use Root Rescue by L’Oreal to save me a trip and try to get a longer wear out of my highlights. The product worked great! It matched my hair and I am very happy with the outcome, I will be using this product again in the future.
